Batshuayi’s time in Spain has not been a success
The 25-year-old has scored just two goals in all competitions, and when Chelsea supporters watched Batshuayi play for Valencia against Manchester United in the Champions League last month, they were not impressed. However, Batshuayi intends to stay at the Mestalla, and Marcelino, the Valencia coach, does not want to lose him either. And, according to El Desmarque, even if Valencia wanted to cut short Batshauyi’s loan deal, they would not be able to. It is reported there is no clause in the deal allowing the La Liga outfit to send Batshuayi back to Stamford Bridge, unless a mutual agreement is reached between Chelsea and Valencia to break the contract. However, there is no indication as of yet that Maurizio Sarri, the Chelsea manager, intends to talk with Valencia over breaking Batshuayi’s loan deal, despite the goalscoring struggles of Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud, Chelsea’s current forwards.

The woes of Chelsea's strikers

Despite Batshuayi struggling for Valencia, he remains in good form on the international stage. He’s scored four goals for Belgium in six appearances since September, grabbing a brace against Iceland just over a week ago.
