And, speaking to Jim White on Thursday, Jordan described why no club can replicate what United do as a business.“They arent actually achieving a great deal, in terms of winning things right now,” he said.“Normally, when you make a lot of money out of something its because you happen to be the best, or you happen to be winning something. “Im looking at Manchester United and Im thinking this is a powerful juggernaut, a monolithic business, which is going through the gears and still making an enormous amount of money with a backdrop of actually being quite mediocre on its achievement level.“Can they sustain that? If United continue on this five-year sabbatical without winning anything meaningful, will they continue to be a financial powerhouse? And I think they probably will.2

Jordan believes no club can replicate what United do

“Theres something absolutely and fundamentally unique about Manchester United that very few clubs in the world can ever replicate.“That is why Man City are a Frankenstein club because they have to win to be successful.“Man United are powering through a very sustained period of mediocrity over the last five years.
